Savage has a penchant for inciting violence against the Islamic community. In the past he has called for dropping a nuclear bomb on an Arab country; forcibly converting Muslims to Christianity; and conducting biological warfare on Middle Easterners.

In early September 2010, one of Savage’s affiliates (who also hosts Beck/Hannity syndicates), posted an online poll asking visitors if the United States should “register Muslims in a time of war.”

On May 5, 2009, it was announced by then-Home Secretary Jacqui Smith that Savage was on a list of individuals banned from entering the United Kingdom as he is, according to the Home Office, "considered to be engaging in unacceptable behaviour by seeking to provoke others to serious criminal acts and fostering hatred which might lead to inter-community violence.”

Savage still hosts his widely listened to radio show and has built quite a rapport with President Trump and other far-right politicians. As recently as April 2018, Savage has gone to the White House and discussed topics with figures such as President Trump and Senator Lindsey Graham.

Right now, even people sitting on the fence would like George Bush to drop a nuclear weapon on an Arab country. They don’t even care which one it would be. I can guarantee you — I don’t need to go to Mr. Schmuck [pollster John] Zogby and ask him his opinion. I don’t need anyone’s opinion. I’ll give you my opinion, because I got a better stethoscope than those fools. It’s one man’s opinion based upon my own analysis. The most — I tell you right now — the largest percentage of Americans would like to see a nuclear weapon dropped on a major Arab capital. They don’t even care which one. They’d like an indiscriminate use of a nuclear weapon. They want this over with. One thing people cannot live with, which is an undefined, limitless conflict, which is what we have now. They can’t take it. They want this war over with, and they want it ended like the war against Japan. They’d like Big Boy dropped on one of the little cities over there. They don’t care where. They don’t care anymore. The American people have had it up to here with this garbage.

I’m going to give you one further example from my background as an anthropologist just so that you — I’m trying to put context on this because you can go crazy if you don’t have the context on this, because I’m going to lead up to something of what we must do to these primitives. Because these primitives can only be treated in one way, and I don’t think smallpox and a blanket is good enough incidentally. Just before — I’m going to give you a little precursor to where I’m going. Smallpox in a blanket, which the U.S. Army gave to the Cherokee Indians on their long march to the West, was nothing compared to what I’d like to see done to these people, just so you understand that I’m not going to be too intellectual about my analysis here in terms of what I would recommend, what Doc Savage recommends as an antidote to this kind of poison coming out of the Middle East from these non-humans.

In fact, Christianity has been one of the great salvations on planet Earth. It’s what’s necessary in the Middle East. Others have written about it, I think these people need to be forcibly converted to Christianity but I’ll get here a little later, I’ll move up to that. It’s the only thing that can probably turn them into human beings.

There are too many RDDBs [red-diaper doper babies, Savage’s term for people supposedly raised by Marxist parents] in high places and in the media and in the courts for us to stand up to this fanatical enemy. And so unless the RDDB is reined in somehow or taken out of power, we’re going to die as a nation. I swear to God that’s what people are saying to me. And these are intelligent people, wealthy people. They are very depressed by the weakness that America is showing to these psychotics in the Muslim world. They say, “Oh, there’s a billion of them.” I said, “So, kill 100 million of them, then there’ll be 900 million of them.” I mean, would you rather die — would you rather us die than them? I mean, what is it going to take for you people to wake up? Would you rather we disappear or we die? Or would you rather they disappear and they die? Because you’re going to have to make that choice sooner rather than later.

I’d like to see them [Muslim extremists] hanging from lampposts in the entire Middle East. I’d like to see the Muslim world rise up en masse. ... [T]hen I as an American will believe — and you know what I’ll believe? I’ll believe there’s a difference between the two. Not until then. Otherwise, until I see that day, that they’re strung up from lampposts, they’re lying to me. And that they’re really secretly getting off on these murderers, because they don’t have the guts to do it themselves. Okay, that’s when I’ll believe in the heart of hearts — when I see them hanging from lampposts, with their guts hanging out, then I’ll believe that there’s a difference between radical Islam and the rest of Islam over there. But if I don’t see that — if I don’t see the massive uprising against them, I can only assume that they’re the shock troops of all of Islam in the Middle East. How do you like that? That’s my opinion. I’m not George Bush running for office, and this message was approved by Michael Savage.
— Michael Savage, 6/23/04, Savage Nation
The Islamists smell weakness in the West and are attacking us on several fronts at once: one, through outright war; two, through immigration; three, through their propaganda disseminated through the liberal media and four, through the liberal courts. Only a devastating military blow against the hearts of Islamic terror coupled with an outright ban on Muslim immigration, laws making the dissemination of enemy propaganda illegal, and the uncoupling of the liberal ACLU can save the United States. I would also make the construction of mosques illegal in America and the speaking of English only in the streets of the United States the law.

Now, we need the FBI to be strong against them. We need the Justice Department to stand up to these imams and possibly throw them out of the country for having staged this attack at the airport against US Airways specifically to impose Muslim views on society through civil rights and diversity training. I know exactly what I am talking about. I know exactly who these people are and I am not going to be bowed by these radicals. I want the FBI to investigate the planning for this assault upon US Airways. How about you?
— Michael Savage, 11/27/06, Savage Nation
Now, this thing at the airport last week was a complete and total assault upon our civil rights and those who did it used the Trojan horse of civil rights. These so-called imams, if you want to call them that — I don’t know what they’re imams of — but the so-called scholars who put that stunt on used the Trojan horse of civil rights in order to assault our civil rights. Make no mistake about it. We have to get rid of these kind of Islamic radicals. There is no question in my mind that this was an illegitimate assault upon our civil rights and upon our own survival.
— Michael Savage, 11/27/06, Savage Nation
Right, this was a Trojan horse assault upon our defenses. They were using religion as a Trojan horse to overthrow our civil rights and to penetrate us for a future attack. That’s how I look at it. If I was the FBI, I would investigate their fingernails for any trail of a conspiracy to do this and I’d slap those imams into irons if I had to, once I found out that that’s what they were doing. I can guarantee you there’s an email trail about how to do this and it goes right into the ACLU and the other subversive organizations.

Savage also compared Muslims to fascists and Nazis.

Most Americans don’t know who these guys were. They thought they were just dragged off the street, which is the disinformation being put out by the communistic anti-American Red Cross. Well, you trust the Red Cross? You must be joking. Take a look at what they’ve done to the Jewish people in Israel. The lies they’ve spewn about Israel. A little country [Israel] surrounded by racist, fascist bigots who don’t want anyone but themselves living in that hell hole called the Middle East.
— Michael Savage, 5/12/04, Savage Nation
When I see a woman walking around with a burqa I see a Nazi, that’s what I see, how do you like that? A hateful Nazi that would like to cut your throat and kill your children. Don’t give me this crap that they are doing this out of a sacred religious right. It’s not required by the Quran that a woman walks around with a seventh century drape. She is doing it to spit in your face. She’s saying you white moron, I am going to kill you if I can. That’s how I see it. What do you want me to do? Mince words with you? I am not going to mince words with you. We are too far gone in this country.

Savage attacked Keith Ellison for being Muslim.

So now Keith Ellison now calls Bush Hitler, thereby degrading what was done to the people by Hitler and diminishing what was done to the people by Hitler, and of course the “All-power-to-the-people-right-on” people don’t even know who Keith Ellison is. But he spoke at the Atheists for Human Rights organization. Now here’s a devout Muslim convert who’s speaking to Atheists for Human Rights. Now what would a devout Muslim radical have in common with atheists? Answer: hatred of Christianity and hatred of Jews. I’ll be right back.
— Michael Savage, 7/16/07, Savage Nation
How about the former member of the Nation of Islam who pretended he was reformed, Keith Ellison, Democrat in Minnesota, who ran for office, and he was elected by all the good liberals, including Jewish liberals, in Minnesota who thought he was going to be, ‘Right on! All power to the people. Bring it down, Keith. Right on, all power to the people. We’re behind you, man. Right on!
— Michael Savage, 7/16/07, Savage Nation
Keith Ellison won’t swear to uphold the oath of office on the Bible, but on the Quran instead. This is unbelievable to me. So what’s next? A witch gets elected, and she says she’s gonna only be sworn in with her hand over a pentagram? Where does this end? Tell me when this ends, the tyranny of the psycho, whacked-out minority. Tell me when it ends.
